Get back from the wedding, and guess what. No trundle beds. We go down to the front desk to complain, and some are eventually sent up, but we have to make them ourselves. Keep in mind we paid $50 extra so that we wouldn't have to deal with that, then ended up having to do it anyway.
EDITED - removed a star because I was told that the room would cost $150 incl taxes and fees and we were charged $195.
Room was clean beds comfortable..however phone was broken Wi-Fi was awful so they changed our room and sink would not drain.. breakfast was...ugh
- disgusting black mold in the grout in the shower, was so bad we didn't want to use it. (Photos attached)
Then, we decided to split the room with 2 other guests, and so had to change our reservation. We called and the person we originally talked to, Noah, hadn't actually put us in the system! He said he couldnt find our reservation. So had we not called, we would not have had a room. We were told there were no more rooms with 2 doubles, but we could get the executive suite, which has 2 rooms, and they would set up trundle beds for us in the living room area. Having no other choice, we paid the extra to get the suite with beds.
- an empty Poland springs water bottle left by a previous guest in plain sight behind the bedside stand. If they missed that, what else are they missing?
- the guy that delivered our beds saying "Sorry they're so late, no one told me you needed them." WE SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR THEM MONTHS AGO WHEN WE MADE THE RESERVATION.

I was filming a wedding there. The scenery was amazing the rooms well done. The food though was ok, and I know the spent a lot of money on this, plus I know there was issues with them getting in their room early so they could get ready for the wedding. I would think they would be more accommodating to their customer's who are spending thousands of dollars to have wedding and reception there.
Check in arrives and lo and behold, no beds. We try to call the front desk to ask to have them brought up but the phones in the rooms do not work. Several people come in and out of the room to attempt to fix our phones but cannot. Eventually we say it's fine just to keep people from showing up, we've been visited 5-6 times within an hour and really we just wanted to get ready for the wedding and have the beds set up. We are told that they will be set up when we return from the wedding that night.
Disappointing service and dirty facilities.
Never being here before, I called 2 days before we were planning on coming, to get some info ahead of time on the races, odds, what we can bet on each race, etc. I used to take the kids out for a fun night at horse racing, but always got sheets of data ahead of time from Finger Lakes Raceway website. We now live in Vernon, but have never been to Vernon Downs. I called to get info, they totally blew me off, and said "you just bet on each race, buy a program when you get here, it's like all other horse racing venues". I checked other resources, like their website, and other Horse Racing sites, but there was absolutely no info on the race Saturday November 21 2015, their Last Night Celebration, and today is Thursday. What I remember way back was getting a list of all the horses in the races, and downloading info from the internet about all their statistics from past races, and sitting down with the family to pick our horses the day before, so we could be ready for a fun night at the horse races. I guess the big complaint here is that I took the time to call and get info, and they simply treated me like they did not need me bothering them. Needless to say, we will not be taking the family there Saturday, or any other time. If you are not a regular day-to-day gambler, they have no use for you. Oh well. Given their attitude on the phone and their website, I think this place is just a small out-of-touch venue. Do something else with your time.

We were guests at a wedding offsite, and booked a room over the phone as soon as we got the hotel block information. The person that helped us on the phone, Noah, was slow and obviously new. It took a half hour for us to get the reservation done. This usually takes me no more than 10 minutes at other hotels.
